Yoga for Artists: Series 1


Saturdays June 2 - June 7, 10 am - 11:15 am.

Have you ever found yourself with chronic pain or tightness after a long day of work?

This is a series designed to give the participants tools and techniques that can bring relief from the unique demands of artists and makers. Over the course of four weeks, we will build on skills and techniques to address the entire body. Perfect for those taking their first steps into yoga, but also for students looking to expand awareness of their own bodies.

Focus for each week will be as follows:

June 2 - Shoulder Therapeutics

June 9 - Wrist Therapeutics

June 16 - Low Back Therapeutics

June 23 - Hip Therapeutics

We know that an artists’ life presents unique scheduling challenges, so the yoga will be brought to you!

All sessions of this series will take place on Black Hound Clay Studio’s patio at 711 South 50th Street, which is spacious and sun drenched. In the case of inclement weather on a Saturday morning, the class will take place the next morning at the same time on Sunday. In the case of the entire weekend being rainy, we will tack a class onto the end of the session. Bring your own mat.
